“Iowa now has a total of 29 cases of COVID-19, IDPH announced 3/17/2020. No confirmed cases in any northern Iowa counties. Yesterday, March 17th, a press conference was held at the Mason City Library with Mayor Bill Schickel, Dr. Teresa Mock from MercyOne North Iowa, and City Administrator Aaron Burnett. Please go to our Facebook page to see that recorded live. Today, myself and Chad Schreck, CEO from the North Iowa Corridor will be answering questions and giving guidance to local businesses on Facebook Live at 1:00 pm. MercyOne will be announcing through their website and social media more about the mobile testing site. Call the call center at one of these 3 numbers (641-494-3546, 641-494-3547, or 641-494-3543) if you have general questions about COVID-19. The call center does not complete screenings. If you wish to be screened for testing, call MercyOne Health Line at 641-428-7777. You have to have an appointment. Please do not show up to the ED. They do not do testing in the ED.
