CG Public Health director once again asks for people to stay at home, don’t have parties or big gatherings
MercyOne North Iowa sets aside 45 beds specifically for any future COVID-19 surge
Daily Statement from Brian Hanft
Thank you to those who attended the press teleconference yesterday. CG Public Health has started working on a 12-18 month long-term recovery plan. We are strategizing how to rearrange our schools, businesses, government offices, and general way of life to limit the spread and resume some sense of normalcy. Each business is different, which means not all approaches will work for everyone. We plan to create personalized, unique guidelines for these organizations. Once we have created these guidelines, we will working closely with Chambers of Commerce, city administration offices, and business representatives to develop best practices for use throughout our area. In addition, we are reaching out to our smaller communities to see what support they need. Our goal is create a new normal through guidelines that allows businesses and organizations to stay open, but limit the spread of COVID-19 until a vaccine is available.
