Yesterday and last night was an incredible sight to see in North Iowa as American Idol contestant Maddie Poppe returned home for her top 3 celebration. It was nothing short of amazing!
Everything from the parade and ceremonies in her hometown of Clarksville to the concert at the Butler County Fairgrounds in Allison, it’s very clear that Iowa (and many other folks from other states) are supporting Maddie in her journey to stardom.
I was at the concert and it’s estimated that there were 10,000 people there for that event alone. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was there. So was House Speaker Linda Upmeyer. Numerous family and close friends. And fans from far and wide were there as well! (Someone had a sign in the crowd that said they were from AFRICA!!!)
Make sure to vote for Maddie on Sunday night when she performs to become the next American Idol. The show will air Sunday night at 7pm CST with the results and more announced on Monday night at 8pm CST; all of which is on ABC.
