OLDER WOMEN ARE SHARING “LIFE HACKS” THEY WISH THEY NEW EARLIER

We can’t stay young and beautiful forever but we can be proactive when it comes to aging. Ask almost any woman over the age of 40 and they’ll probably tell you they have a list of things they’d like to go back and do differently if they had a time machine. Older women on Reddit were asked, “What are some underrated ways to take care of ourselves now, to make things easier when we get older?” Here are some of their responses:

  • If you don’t have the energy to do a full workout, do the bare minimum to get your blood moving, whether it’s walking or doing a quick squat-push up-sit up cycle.” —u/VeeSquibbles
  • “MOISTURIZE every day, head to toe, no matter how yucky it feels. Your old skin will reward you!” —u/_Monk_3288
  • “Financial stability is so important. Make sure you’re putting something away now for the future.” —u/FridaMercury
  • “Keep making friends. My former boss (retired now, in her 60s) has a group of girlfriends. They vacation together, go golfing, shopping, dining, etc.” —u/salsasandwich
  • “Sun protection! Not only will it help you look more youthful, but it will also aid in skin cancer prevention.” —u/brbgottagofast
