Established in 1950 Barnes PRCA Rodeo from Peterson, Iowa continues to be a premier livestock contracting company and member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association.  The longevity of Barnes PRCA Rodeo is captured in the marketplace where community celebrations have been continuous partners dating back 40, 50 and 60 years. The late founder, Bob Barnes, once told a newspaper reporter years ago, “We are to rodeo – what Cadillac is to cars.”

Today Marty Barnes owns and manages all aspects of the livestock, rodeo production and breeding program with his eldest son, Westin, and their families.  Barnes PRCA Rodeo will produce over 30 events across the country in 2022. Visit their schedule page for a complete listing.

Our award winning livestock are continuously selected by the top cowboys for the Super Bowl of Rodeo each December to compete in Las Vegas.  They are the heart and soul of Barnes PRCA Rodeo and continually are recognized for their athleticism.

Since 1959 our bulls and horses have represented the Rafter B Bar brand all 57 National Finals Rodeos.  We are one of only two stock contracting companies out of hundreds with this prestigious accolade in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Rodeo fans, committees and sanctioning bodies have complimented both our indoor and outdoor rodeo productions in small town arenas to the Minnesota State Fair.  We are humbled by the recognition and awards our company has received for producing top-notch professional rodeos since 1950.   Barnes PRCA Rodeo is located in Peterson and Cherokee Iowa situated in the heartland of the Great Lakes Circuit.   Annually the Great Lakes Circuit Finals honors rodeo committee with yearend awards.  This year two of our rodeo committee’s were awarded the top honors in their respective categories. – per website-
