MASON CITY — Cerro Gordo County Auditor Adam Wedmore has announced he’s running for reelection this year.

Wedmore was first elected County Auditor in 2018 during a special election and then won reelection in 2020.

Wedmore in a written statement says during his time in office, he’s worked to implement efficiencies, ensure compliance with laws, and build resiliency.

He says he’s led changes to budget administration and property tax calculation caused by legislation as well as introduce improvements to drainage district management, payroll processing, and claim management.

Wedmore says he’s also proud of the work his department has accomplished to strengthen the integrity of the election process to ensure fair and secure elections.
