Is Freelancing More Stable Than a Traditional Job?

Freelancing has become so popular nowadays. Freelance marketplace Fiverr recently took a look at just how popular, especially when it came to Gen Z. They spoke to 10,000 16- to 26-year-olds, with half of them being workers in the U.S.

According to their study:

  • 70% are thinking more about freelancing than they were last year
  • Many think that freelancing’s more stable than a traditional full-time job
  • 36% think of freelancing as an excellent backup plan due to layoffs or AL technology advancement
  • 70% said they’re freelancing or plan to start

Another big reason Gen Z loves freelancing is because of the flexibility that it brings. Of all the U.S. respondents, 20% said they work to live, not live to work.
